Got stuck on a dilemma? Work it out step-by-step!

Easy to follow steps.

So your CPU has gone into over-drive. Feeling a slight discomfort as you are not getting the results you wish for, at the speed you need them to happen?
That happens! When it does...it is time to pause.

Set some time aside and go through the process below.

How does this work?

1. Get rid of Distractions

Make sure nothing can interrupt your focus for a good 20-25 minutes.

2. What are you stuck on?

Get clear on the problem first. At best, write it down in 1 or 2 sentences.

3. Assess the quality of your thinking

How clear is your thinking here? Try to quantify it on a scale 1 to 10.

4. Ask yourself solution-focused questions

Direct your brain to explore the area around the solution, for example these.

5. Think on the move

Activate your body to make new connections. Have a walk-meeting, for example!

6. Change your perspective

What would your teacher, or a more experienced professional, suggests you doing?

Now allow yourself some "Down Time" 💡

Take some time to be…inactive!

Downtime refers to those moments when you have no goal or outcome in mind.

In the brain, this is a wakeful state of rest: research has proved it boosts ideas generation, when it follows an intensive period of focus time.
